Our Summer Kid Camp has been a family favorite for years! Kiddos will get their hands dirty while learning about growing and harvesting food. Engineering, literature, animals, insects, plants, water, cooking and art are the themes our educators will use to guide your child through exploration of the natural world!
Tinker Toys and Building Blocks – $265 June 20 – 23 (no camp Monday 6/19)
Engineering week: Put your thinking cap on! We will be designing all sorts of garden gizmos and gadgets to solve problems big and small.
BOOK it to the Farm! – $265 June 26 – 30
Literature week: A bouquet of books awaits you at Urban Roots! The plot thickens this week as campers sow seeds and stories, read some radish-ing tales and get lost in the world of imagination.
Duck, Duck, Goose! $265 July 3 – 7 (no camp Tuesday 7/4)
Animals week: It’s an animal palooza! All farm friends are invited; feathers, tails, and claws included. We’ll be moo-ving and grooving till the cows come home!
Hive Mind $265 July 10 – 14
Insect week: Get to know your new best buggy! We will investigate the aphids, arachnids, ants, and other insects on the farm and why we don’t want them to bug off!
Sow It to Grow It $265 July 17 – 21
Plant week: In-tree-ducing plant-tastic berries, borage, basil, and more! Plants are delicious, nutritious, and useful in many other ways we will explore. Shed your seed coats and come plant the day away!
H2Whoa! $265 July 24 – 28
Water week: What in the watershed is going on at the Urban Roots farm? Come wet your plants while you learn about our weird and wonderful waterways… or whatever floats your boat.
Rookie Cooks $265 July 31 – August 4
Cooking week: Calling all creative cooks and budding bakers for a flavor festival at Urban Roots! Transform roots, shoots, and fruits from the farm to craft your perfect plate.
Garden Gallery $265 August 7 – 11
Art week: Color outside of the lines! Everyone’s an artist at the Urban Roots Farm, so come add your melon masterpieces and carrot creations to our Garden Gallery.
