The Exquisite Tree Peony--for the Avid Gardener

Long-lived and slow growing, the tree peony has been in cultivation for more than 2500 years. Revered in China and Japan, its rich history includes a period when only the emperor of China could own one. The tree peony is a deciduous shrub with woody stems that don’t die back to the ground. A mature plant can live up to 200 years and produce hundreds of flowers. Tree peonies are easy to grow and do well in northern Nevada when planted in a proper location.
Great selection of Paeonia suffructicosa cultivars: ‘Seidai’, ‘Shima Nishiki’, ‘Taiyo’, ‘Yae Zakura’, ‘Houki’, ‘Cho Juraku’, ‘Hana Daijin’, ‘High Noon’, ‘Renkaku’

Blue/Green--another type of "green"--means water conservation by using more efficient irrigation systems and water-wise plants.
Conserving water is one of the simplest and most important things you can do to be greener at home. Did you know that a typical single family suburban household uses at least 30% of its water for outdoor irrigation? In many cases more than 50% of that water is wasted due to evaporation or runoff caused by overwatering.
By tuning up or remodeling your current irrigation system and adding a state of the art controller, you can do your part to be "blue/green" and have significant savings.
Now's the time to schedule an irrigation audit with one of our Irrigation Association Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditors. Call Joan at 825-0602 x134 today to make an appointment.
