Moana Nursery DONATES THOUSANDS OF
DOLLARS IN PLANTS TO "Extreme Makeover: Home edition"
RENO, NEVADA -
Moana Nursery, northern Nevada's premier nursery, is donating $45,000 dollars
in plants, shrubs, and landscaping materials to ABC's "Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition" as part of the renovation of the Boettcher family's home in
Stagecoach, Nevada.
Steve Boettcher is a local minister
who spreads the Word of God with his motorcycle, ministering to follow bikers
and their families. Preacher Boettcher, along with his wife Mary, have turned
their garage into a community center where local teens can go for help and
recreation.
"We are proud to be part of
such a compassionate program" said Bruce Gescheider, President of Moana
Nursery. "The Boettcher's are great examples of Nevadans helping
Nevadans."
Moana is donating 48 trees and 387
shrubs, and we are working with one of our landscape contractors, Sierra
Earthworks, for installation. Moana Water Works is donating a bubbler fountain
water feature in a rock formation, which consists of three giant boulders that
weigh a total of 13 tons. This installation will be completed by Moana Water
Works on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in just 6 hours.
